K-tip extensions, also known as fusion extensions, are a type of bond hair extension that uses a heat-activated keratin bond to attach individual strands to your natural hair. The keratin material in the bond expands and contracts with your own hair, helping to reduce shedding and fallout. Applied with a thermal tool, these extensions blend seamlessly and can last up to 4–5 months with proper maintenance.

Yes, K-tip extensions are suitable and the most ideal extension method for curly hair. Their strand-by-strand application allows for precise placement and blending with your natural curl pattern. The keratin bonds are lightweight and flexible, minimizing tension and shedding, which helps protect the health of curly hair. With the right texture match and proper care, K-tips can enhance volume and length while maintaining a natural look.

After about 4-6 months, k-tip extensions will need to be removed. You can either replace them with a new set, or choose to give your hair a little break. In either case, you need to understand all the loose hairs you'll notice during the removal process. On average we lose about 100 hairs each day. So once removed, all the shed hair that was held up in the bonds will come out along with the bond, but no worries! This is completely normal.
